Fire and DrummingSteve and Teri host a drum circle every month on the Saturday closest to the full moon in Alfalfa, Oregon (about 15 miles east of downtown Bend). This is an outside drum circle held all four seasons by a nice warm bonfire. Starting in April the hours will be 6-8pm all year long. Come and share the Energy You create! Dates2009

DirectionsSteve Hawkins From Bend: Go East on Hwy 20 past 27th. Take a left (north) onto Powell Butte Hwy (look for sign saying "Airport, Prineville"). Go to the flashing yellow light and take a right (east) on Alfalfa Market Road. Continue on Alfalfa Market for 7.5 miles to Todd and take a left (north, there's a huge row of 93 mailboxes just before turn). Now you're at Alfalfa Mkt and Todd. From Alfalfa Mkt and Todd: Go up Todd and take your first left (west) onto Raven, follow paved road which turns to the right (north) and becomes Fremont Road. Go to end of paved road and continue on gravel road for about 2/10 of a mile. Take a left (west) on Lava Lane, (Regular street sign is difficult to see but there is a small sign on wooden stick pointing left to Lava Lane). First drive on left left is ours, you'll see Labyrinth to your left. From Redmond:Take Hwy 126 east. Take a right (south) onto Powell Butte Hwy. (also called S. Shumway road). From Prineville:Take Hwy 126 west. Take a left (south) onto Powell Butte Hwy. (also called S. Shumway road). The remainder is the same for both Redmond and Prineville. Follow the signs to Alfalfa. You will end up on Johnson Ranch Road. When you come to the 'T' at Johnson Ranch Road and Alfalfa Market, take a left (toward Bend). Travel approx. 1 mile to Todd road and take a right (north). You're now at Alfalfa Mkt and Todd. Continue directions above from Alfalfa Mkt and Todd. |
